The Workforce Investment Network for Maryland (WIN) is committed to helping ensure the competitiveness of the state’s workforce and assisting its businesses in generating the economic synergy necessary to enhance the quality of life of Maryland’s citizens.
While fulfilling our mission of linking qualified candidates to current job vacancies, ensuring our business customers’ labor market needs are met, and honing the workforce toolkit of Maryland’s One-Stops Career Centers form the core of our work, WIN also helps to build consensus on important workforce policy and appropriations issues through advocacy at the state and federal levels, acting as the voice of the state’s local workforce investment system.
Although independent, WIN works closely with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) and the Governor’s Workforce Investment Board (GWIB) to support a locally-driven, yet comprehensive workforce investment system. |
